The O2 Arena on the Greenwich Peninsula attracts some of the biggest names in music. Now plans are underway to open a 2500-seat music and entertainment venue at London’s Royal Docks as part of the major redevelopment around Millennium Mills.

Silo D is an instantly recognisable feature on the Royal Docks landscape. The owners of Camden’s historic Roundhouse venue are understood to be planning to retain the landmark building and build around it, as part of the £3.5billion redevelopment of the 62-acre site.

The much-loved Roundhouse in Camden was converted from a railway storage shed. It was closed in 1983, but has been given a new lease of life in 2006 after a £30million renovation.

If planning applications are accepted, the venue would look to open in 2018, providing a vibrant leisure facility for residents and visitors to the Royal Docks.
